Find a Great Beach To Visit Near New York City

New York is known for a lot of things, and the beach may not always be the first thing that comes to mind, however during the hot summer months a New York beach may be just the escape you’ve been looking for. Whether you are visiting New York on vacation or looking for a great home that is a short trip from that beach you have quite a few outstanding options:
-Coney Island is definitely the most famous beach in New York, and maybe one of the most well-known in the entire United States. The famous Coney Island boardwalk, games, rides and beach sees hundreds of thousands of visitors every single year. Don’t forget to try one of the famous Coney Island hot dogs while you are there.
-Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk in the Rockaway area of New York features a beautiful, picturesque beach along with a wonderful boardwalk
is the perfect way to spend and afternoon in the sun by your self or with some friends. In addition to being one of the prettiest little hideaways in New York, it is the only surf beach in New York. The area also features a number of gorgeous little neighborhoods including Arverne by the Sea.
Job Riis Park is one of the smaller beaches but is great for relaxing and beating the heat during the summer.
Franklin D. Roosevelt Boardwalk and Beach is found on Staten Island.
Enjoy 2.5 miles of amazing and well-kept sands and surf. While you’re there enjoy the other sites in Staten Island.
Brighton beach is actually really close to Coney Island and is the perfect place to sit back and relax when the more famous Coney Island gets to busy for your liking. They feature a great boardwalk and a beautiful ocean view.
Great Kills Park is another Staten Island beach. This area encompasses three smaller but very pretty beaches including New Drop Beach, Cedar Grove, Oakwood and Fox Beach.
Manhattan Beach Park is the perfect way to escape the regular Manhattan rat race the area is better known for. This beach can be busy but is always beautiful and fun.
Orchard Beach Promenade is located in the Bronx and is almost always populated by happy vacationers and locals trying to relax for an afternoon. Want a break from the muggy summer air in New York City and the Bronx? This is the place to go.
Breezy Point Beach is in Queens. You’ll enjoy an excellent ocean view along as you set up your lawn chair or go for a walk along the beach.
Most are generally surprised when they hear about all of the beaches within New York. New York and the Queens area can be a great place to visit or live if you love the beach though. Look for homes around the beach as well if you are considering purchasing a new home as well!
